FAQ

Shipping

How long will my order take?

Processing takes 1–3 business days, then delivery takes 5–11 days. So plan for roughly 6–14 days in total. Our supplier reports that the 5–11 day window holds for about 62% of orders, so a minority run longer. We'd rather give you the real number than a flattering one.

Is shipping really free?

Yes, anywhere in the US, with no minimum spend and nothing added at checkout.

Do you ship outside the US?

Not right now. We ship within the United States only, including all states and territories. We don't deliver to PO boxes or freight forwarders.

Where do you ship from?

Our brushes ship from our supplier's facility rather than a US warehouse. That's the reason for the 5–11 day window, and it's also part of why the brush costs $29.95 instead of $45.

Will I get tracking?

Yes, by email, as soon as the order leaves the facility. If nothing has arrived within 48 hours of your order confirmation, check your spam folder before emailing us — that's where it usually is.

The brush

Will it work on my cat specifically?

It's designed for the everyday grooming most cats need — short coats, long coats, and the heavy seasonal shedding in between. It also works well on small and medium dogs and on rabbits.

My cat hates being brushed. Will this be different?

Possibly, and here's the honest version: the pins are fine stainless steel with rounded, resin-protected tips, so the sensation is closer to being scratched than raked. Most cats settle within a minute. Some cats simply don't like being handled, and no brush fixes that. Start with short sessions on the back and shoulders, not the belly.

How does the self-cleaning part work?

Press the button on top and the pins retract into the head, which releases the collected fur as a single clump. You lift it off in one piece. No pulling matted hair out from between bristles.

How often should I use it?

Two or three times a week is enough for most cats. Daily during a heavy shed. More than that isn't better — over-brushing can irritate the skin.

Can I wash it?

Yes. The pins are 0.45mm stainless steel, so rinse the head under the tap and let it dry. It won't rust.

Will it cut or scratch my cat?

It shouldn't. The pin tips are rounded and resin-protected specifically to avoid that. Use light pressure — let the pins do the work rather than pressing down — and stop if you see any skin redness.

Is it good for matted fur?

For light tangles, yes. For dense mats sitting against the skin, no — and no slicker brush is. Those need to be cut out carefully or handled by a groomer or vet. Trying to brush them out hurts.

What colour will I get?

The brush comes in a rotating set of soft colourways. If you have a strong preference, mention it in the order notes and we'll match it where we can.

Orders and returns

What's your returns policy?

Thirty days from delivery, any reason. Email support@getshedless.com with your order number and we'll send instructions within a business day. Used brushes are still returnable — we expect you to actually try it.

Something arrived damaged.

Send us a photo within 7 days and we'll ship a replacement free. You won't need to return the damaged one.

Can I cancel?

Yes, free of charge, any time before it ships. After that it becomes a return.

Why buy the two-pack?

Mostly for multi-cat households, where a brush per animal is more hygienic. It's also genuinely useful to keep one upstairs and one by the sofa, because the brush you can reach is the brush you use. It's $49.95 rather than $59.90.

I have another question.

Email support@getshedless.com. A person answers, usually within one business day, Monday to Friday.
